Green Delicious Smoothie

Alright! Time for another smoothie. And to be specific, a Green Delicious Smoothie. See what I did there? Not a red delicious but a green delicious (this smoothie has nothing to do with apples). Sometimes I try to be more clever and funny than I actually am. My Mom is the only one who thinks I am funny, thanks Mom.

Anyways, I am continuing my smoothie kick because why not?!? I feel like when I want something sweet but know I shouldn't have ice cream a smoothie is a good substitute. It's cold and creamy and can satisfy that sweet tooth. I am always trying to find ways to sneak in fruits and veggies when I can, any time I can add more nutrients, vitamins and minerals to something, I go for it.

With this smoothie I think I managed to stuff one and a half cups of spinach into it. Every time it comes out this amazing bright green color. It literally livens up my day to drink this. I always try to add in a little flaxseed for extra fiber and omega 3. I am OBSESSED with the Califa Unsweetened Toasted Coconut Almond Milk, if you haven't tried this I highly recommend it. It doesn't have any nasty GMOs or Carageenen in it.

To load up on protein in this smoothie I used a vanilla flavor. I did that partly for the taste and partly so it did not come out a brown color. Brown smoothies are a little less elegant looking. I also have my partnership with Nutrisat protein powder and I wanted to share this recipe along with a discount code for people to order the protein powder directly from the website. If you use the discount code "20" and put my name in the referrals you'll get 20% off your purchase. I love the Nutristat products because they are 100% whey protein isolate and don't have any nasty chemicals added as well. Win/win as far as I am concerned. But seriously go check out their protein because it's delicious.

I have been making this smoothie about once every few days. So delicious. And if you have kiddos it's an awesome way to get them to eat dark leafy greens as well. Try it out and let me know what you think.

Have an awesome weekend guys!
